Start with the same facts
Two suppliers quote for the same order. One charges less. Your records say that supplier also missed the last two delivery dates.
Memory can retrieve the quotes and delivery history. A useful decision also needs the deadline, the cost of delay, available alternatives and your priorities. The cheapest unit price may not be the lowest-cost decision.
What cognition adds
Cognition brings those facts together, weighs the trade-offs and proposes a next step. In this example, it might recommend negotiating with the reliable supplier or splitting the order. It should explain the reason and identify what still needs checking.
This is an illustrative decision, not a claim that an agent has negotiated a particular saving. Fresh stock, prices and authority to commit still have to be established.
Why more memory is not the whole answer
A longer record gives the system more material. It does not tell it which facts still apply, which source to trust or how to resolve competing goals. Those are separate jobs.
Memory remains valuable on its own for finding records. The point is to judge an agent by what it can do with that record, not by how much it can store.
Where thinqOS fits
